Front End Web Developer - Manchester
Job Description
We need someone with excellent front end web skills to join the team. You'll be working as part of a small team, primarily chopping and managing a portfolio of client websites where a high standard of work is required at all times. There will also be opportunities to design websites if you have a creative flair - our own website may be one of your first jobs.
Person Requirements
We are looking for someone with excellent standards in HTML4/5 and CSS3, and understands when is the right time to deploy emerging methodologies. You will also be comfortable writing PHP, and be aware of security issues. You will keep on top of your game through engagement with web developer resources and networks, either on or off line.
We need someone who is highly organised and self-disciplined, making sure work is thoroughly checked before it goes live.
You will be good at managing workflow to ensure all of your work progresses, and deadlines are met.
Essential Design Skills & Experience:
- HTML 4 / 5
- CSS / CSS3
- Sprite sheets
- PHP
- Dreamweaver
- Website design / layout / usability / accessibility
- Fireworks / Photoshop
- Javacript / Jquery
Essential Personal Skills:
- Excellent organisational skills
- Meticulous eye for detail
- Self disciplined
- Ability to efficiently juggle several projects at once & meet tight deadlines
- Good written & spoken mannerism for client communication
- Patience to deal with difficult clients
Beneficial Skills & Experience:
- Wordpress & Magento
- Implications for SEO
- Technical support skills for troubleshooting email accounts & basic internet connectivity
- Illustrator, Indesign
- Revision control
